Camber & Your Dodge Charger, Challenger, Magnum or 300

Camber

This is very popular topic, "I Just lowered my car and my tires are wearing uneven". (typically the "uneven portion is due to toe, but together when not adjusted correctly can cause excessive wear")

FCA Blessed us with absolutely no rear camber adjustment from the factory on these cars, front is slightly adjustable via a technique called a "Cradle shift", however most technicians now adays are way to lazy to attempt that.

First off, what is camber?

"Camber is defined as the inward or outward tilt of the top of the wheel as compared to vertical and viewed from the front. Camber is measured in degrees. A wheel with zero camber is vertical. A wheel that tilts outward has positive camber. A wheel that tilts inward has negative camber."

Okay great, so how do we fix it?

Well this is going to depend on your budget & end goals with the car as well as is it the front camber or the rear camber out of adjustment?

Your first option is going to be the Eibach Upper Control arms shown below:

Eibach Pro-Alignment Camber Arm Kit for 09-2023 Chrysler 300 Dodge Challenger & Charger

Next up will be a few dollars less for the exact same part that is relabeled by Eibach, the SPC Upper Control Arms

Great so we've got the front sorted out now right?(Hopefully?)

Let's move onto the rear!

The MOST AFFORDABLE option are these Bushings which are best if installed on an alignment rack(again SPC/Eibach Shared product you can get these from us in SPC brand or Eibach Brand, the only down side are these are essentially a "one and done" as other components wear you will have limited adjustability to get the camber back into spec.

The next way would offer endless adjustment, now these arms have caught a slightly bad reputation here and there, but mostly is from mis-use or poor installation. These arms will allow you to go very far negative, and past neutral(0 camber). The trade off of these would be, if not greased(they have a grease fitting) They can make a little noise, but again you are modifying your car and the factory makes cars comfortable for the consumer, you are modifying and taking that away regardless.

BMR Rear Upper Control Arms

Now yes you can pair these arms with a full arm package, but that is a post for another day.

Next up would be for the very High HP, Track Driven Cars.

AAD Suspension, this is the suspension that Direct Connection(Dodge) chose to trust with their cars. These arms we would suggest replacing as a whole kit. This is named "Drag pack" but can benefit any Modern Mopar, they offer quick change shims. Say your street setup is -2.0 Of rear camber, and you want to hit the drag strip at for simplicity sake 0 Camber, with the change of some shims you are there, then you can dial back in when you are done and drive home. Maybe vice versa(auto cross or road race guys want some negative camber on the track and want to drive back home neutral or  close to it).

Now that you have seen your options, hopefully you can trust us with your purchase. As always if you find this stuff priced better anywhere we will gladly beat it.
