Jeep(R) answered you power-hungry adventurers request for power and off-road performance with the Wrangler Rubicon 392. The heavy 6.4L HEMI(R) V8 engine packs a powerful punch. The suspension and chassis upgraded design lends to controlled on-pavement handling and unrelenting off-road dexterity. Taller, more aggressive 37-inch tires and more ground clearance will only make it better. On this application, the biggest determining factors in ride quality and suspension performance are shocks and coil springs. You can keep your current Jeep tuned factory performance shocks yet upgrade the OEM coils to an optimum performance option.
Skyjacker specifically engineered a progressive variable rate coil spring, distinctively a 2-stage dual rate long travel coil. Spring rate progression is from a 1st Flex Rate to a 2nd Ride Rate. The 1st Flex Rate stage of the coil spring delivers a comfortable ride with the ability to flex for increased articulation. The coil spring's flex rate expands during full articulation as the suspension drops (full droop). This keeps the coil springs seated in the upper coil mount/bucket and the tires in contact with the terrain. The 2nd Ride Rate stage only engages after compression past the flex rate. Engineered to coordinate with the Rubicon 392's distinctive suspension handling characteristics, the rear coils are side specific and designed to handle impact absorption in the toughest off-road conditions. Front and Rear Shock Extension Relocation Brackets reposition your specifically tuned factory performance shocks. Front and Rear Bump Stop Spacers bolt onto the axle bump pad and keep the suspension travel safely in check. Front and Rear Extended Length Sway Bar End Links allow full articulation as the suspension drops (full droop). These sway bar end links include Skyjacker installed pressed-in HD OEM style rubber bushings. Proper suspension geometry ensures the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system functions within factory parameters.
