The 2025+ Ram RHO already has an unmistakable front end, but the factory settings leave some useful lighting and convenience options on the table. The Z Automotive Synapze DT unlocks amber daytime running light controls, remembers your preferred drive and stop-start settings, reads diagnostic trouble codes, and adds an optional PIN-based immobilizer. Best of all, it works through the truck’s factory display and steering wheel buttons.
Give Your Ram RHO Amber Daytime Running Lights
For trucks equipped with premium LED headlights, Synapze DT provides five selectable daytime running light modes. You can keep the factory white appearance, turn the DRLs amber during the day, use amber lighting at night, or keep them amber all the time.
The DarkPark setting is especially useful. It turns the front lighting off while the truck is in Park, then returns the lights to normal as soon as you shift out of Park. That can make a real difference at campsites, drive-in theaters, roadside stops, staging lanes, and photo shoots where you do not want the front of the truck lit up.
The amber output uses the truck’s factory LEDs and network. There are no replacement bulbs, resistors, cut wires, or permanent modifications, so the setup remains clean and reversible.
Stop-Start and Drive Mode Memory
Lighting is only part of the story. Synapze DT can restore your preferred electronic stop-start setting each time the truck starts, which means less reaching for the same button on every drive.
It can also remember your selected drive mode. Instead of defaulting to a setting you immediately change, your RHO can return to the mode you actually prefer. These are small conveniences individually, but together they make the truck feel better tailored to the way you use it.
Read and Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Synapze DT lets you read and clear diagnostic trouble codes from nine vehicle modules using the instrument-cluster display. Supported areas include the powertrain, transmission, drivetrain, brakes, damping, shifter, body, cluster, and radio hub.
That gives owners a convenient first look when a warning appears, without immediately reaching for a separate scan tool or laptop. It is especially handy for enthusiasts who modify, maintain, or frequently troubleshoot their own trucks.
Add Optional PIN Security
An optional PIN immobilizer can block ignition until the correct sequence is entered using the factory steering wheel buttons. Because the code is a sequence of button presses rather than a visible keypad entry, it is difficult to guess by watching. The system automatically re-arms when the driver’s door opens.
No security feature replaces smart parking and key control, but this adds another useful layer without installing an extra switch or carrying another device.
Plug-and-Play Installation and Factory Controls
Installation is plug and play and is designed to take roughly five minutes. Nothing needs to be cut or spliced. Features are configured through a menu in the instrument cluster with the factory steering wheel buttons, so there is no phone app, laptop, or extra controller to manage. Free firmware updates also help keep the module current.
Fitment and Amber DRL Compatibility
Synapze DT is compatible with 2025 and newer Ram DT trucks, excluding two-wheel-drive models. The amber DRL feature requires premium LED headlights and is intended for equipped trims such as the RHO, TRX, Limited, Limited Longhorn, and Tungsten. Trucks with other headlight packages may still use the module’s remaining compatible features, but the amber DRL function will not operate.
Is Synapze DT Worth It for the Ram RHO?
If you want amber lighting without wiring modifications, fewer repetitive button presses, built-in code access, and an extra security option, Synapze DT bundles a surprising amount of control into one module. It is a clean upgrade for owners who want the truck to look and behave more like their own.
